Community Health Task Force Cook County provides the health care safety net for all who do not have any form of health insurance or those who require specialized medical treatment. An extremely dedicated professional staff works to provide quality services to whoever needs them; however, the Cook County Board must ensure that quality health care is not only available, but also accessible to the citizens of our communities who need it most.
The task force will also explore ways to change bureaucratic procedures to insure that all County health care benefits are easily and readily available. It will also examine ways to implement widespread preventative public health care to protect against threats such as Anthrax, West Nile Virus or other diseases.
Task Force Priorities · Access to health care for immigrant population · Environmental Health · Mental & Behavioral Health Services · Opioid Addiction
Task Force Progress: The task force is examining these issues, and it will make initial suggestions addressing the major improvements needed and what actions the Board can take to assist in their enhancement.
Task Force Meeting Minutes:
May 2021 January 2020 January 2019
Upcoming Events: The task force will meet again in June
