Tax Appeal Assistance for
New Trier Township Property OwnersMonday, October 17, 2005 Special to suffredin.org For Immediate Release Contact: Commissioner Larry Suffredin 312-603-6383 Chicago, Illinois. Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, 13th District, wants to remind residents in New Trier Township that Cook County Assessor James Houlihan is currently accepting property tax appeals for 2005 for those property owners who are not satisfied that their assessment is accurate. The deadline to submit appeals to Assessor Houlihan’s office is November 7, 2005. Residents who did or did not file an appeal last year when New Trier residents were reassessed are encouraged to do so if they think their property was over assessed. Residents with questions on the appeal process are encouraged to call Commissioner Suffredin’s Evanston District office at 847-864-1209. The Commissioner’s staff is also available to schedule individual appointments to answer questions. Information on the appeal process can also be found on Assessor Houlihan’s website at www.cookcountyassessor.com.
