Property Tax Appeal Seminar for Northfield Township Taxpayers

Friday, March 18, 2005
Special to suffredin.org

Chicago - Cook County Commissioners Larry Suffredin (13th District) and Gregg Goslin (14th District) will sponsor a property tax appeal seminar for Northfield Township residents.
Seminar details are:

Tuesday, March 29, 2005

6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Northbrook Public Library Auditorium, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Maureen Murphy and her staff will conduct the seminar. The seminar will inform homeowners how to determine whether they were over assessed, where to go to gather evidence for an appeal with the Board of Review and how to fill out and file the assessment complaint form.

Northfield Township residents have until April 14, 2005 to submit their complaint forms to the Cook County Board of Review.

Taxpayers are encouraged to bring their Tax Bill, Assessment Notice or Property Identification Number to the seminar in order to complete and submit complaint forms at the seminar.

Commissioner Suffredin commented, "The Board of Review is Cook County's safety net to ensure citizens have a voice in obtaining a fair assessment. If your feel your assessment is improper, please take advantage of your right to appeal."

For more information about the seminar, call Commissioner Suffredin's office at 847-864-1209 or the Board of Review at 312-603-3644.
