Shelley Davis shares fundraising insights

After seven years at the helm, Shelley Davis will officially step down on Oct. 9 as the Foundation's President. She will become the new President and CEO of the Coleman Foundation, effective Nov. 16. Shelley, who has an extensive background in philanthropy, successfully shepherded the Forest Preserves Foundation’s growth, taking it from its first-year grants of $3,500 to more than $3 million over the Foundation's lifetime.

The Forest Preserve Foundation staff and board members wish Shelley all the best and thank her for her dedication to the Foundation's mission, for championing next-gen environmental advocates and efforts in the Forest Preserves to mitigate climate change.

As Shelley wrapped up her duties with the Foundation, she took time to talk with the Foundation's communications manager about staying focused on the organization's mission and fundraising during the global pandemic.
