President John H. Stroger, Jr.

Friday, March 17, 2006
Special to suffredin.org

I am saddened to hear that President John H. Stroger, Jr. has suffered a stroke. He is a good man who has done many wonderful things for Cook County. At this time we should all ask in our individual tradition to have God give him and his family strength and comfort as they deal with his illness. Today’s Chicago Sun-Times editorial expresses many of the feelings I have. I am especially upset by those who are saying hurtful and outlandish things about his illness. I look forward to seeing him back at our Cook County Board meetings.
