The Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues has released a report on Girl Violence and Aggression:  Problems and Solutions.  It is a study of the dangers that young women and girls face in our community.

The Commission’s report reviews life experiences from young women, girls, academics, government officials and youth-serving organizations.  The report offers recommendations on how to address the problem of girl-on-girl violence and its perceived increase in recent years.

“I will work to implement the report’s recommendations,” said 13th District Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin.

The 13th District was represented on the Commission by Trina Janes.
