Explore Your Forest Preserves this Summer

While making your summer plans, be sure to check out the many outdoor activities offered at the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Go beyond the picnic groves and be a part of their education, recreation, and volunteer programs this summer.

Did you know that your family can now go camping in Cook County? No need to travel far to enjoy sleeping under the stars, waking up to bird songs and exploring nature with your family. The Forest Preserves are opening five new and revitalized campgrounds this year!

The Forest Preserve Foundation believes everyone deserves the chance to experience nature and make lasting memories while camping. Our grant programs are helping families and youth groups from underserved communities get outdoors for some safe and happy camping.
