Doggy Paddle

Beck Lake Boat Launch, 1000 N East River Rd, Des Plaines

Spend some time with your pup, enjoy refreshments, and then join us for a special paddle with your furry friend. Dogs and their owners are invited to paddle together.

Little Calumet River Ecology Paddle and Cleanup
Saturday, June 6 * 8 am - 3 pm

Little Calumet Boat Launch, Ashland & Jackson, Riverdale

Help us clean up the river as we paddle down to Kickapoo Woods and back. Learn about aquatic life along the Little Calumet, and how cleaning up the river can help keep these animals healthy. Tools, breakfast snacks and lunch provided. Groups welcome. Register here.

62nd Annual American Indian Pow Wow

Each month, one of our naturalists will lead a brief tour of a natural area, highlighting interesting plants, scenic vistas and locations frequented by wildlife. Capture images and share tips with fellow photographers. All cameras are suitable, from SLR to point-and-shoot to smart phone.

Bow Strings & Cliff Stairs

Swallow Cliff Stairs, 10267 Calumet Sag Rd, Palos Hills

Families, join us on a Saturday and exercise using the Swallow Cliff stairs, then learn about archery and take aim at our targets. And be sure to grab some snacks and check out our new comfort station.
