Arbor Day Celebration
?Celebrate the grandeur of trees and learn why they’re important to our community and our world. Enjoy tree planting, tree climbing, tree-caching and ID, scavenger hunts, art projects and more. At this celebration, Foundation donors who have given a memorial gift to the Forest Preserve Foundation to honor a loved one will be recognized. Activities will be held at Bunker Hill, 6800 N. Kayaking at Kickapoo Woods
Join the Forest Preserve Foundation's Young Professionals Association (YPA) for a great opportunity to engage with nature in the beautiful Forest Preserves of Cook County at Kickapoo Woods in Riverdale, Illinois for a kayaking excursion on the Little Calumet River led by The River Network, with 1/2 hour on-land instruction.
Participants will have a half hour land class, then an hour on the river. After kayaking, participants can enjoy a picnic to socialize/network. This event is free, but a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated. PleaseRSVPto info@forestpreservefoundation.org.
